I've been loving this table in the Pottery Barn catalog for a while now! Not
necessarily for how it looks but for what it does.
See how both ends flip up for storage...
And see that great power strip inside with a cord that runs hidden inside the table leg, perfect for being in the middle of the room with chargers or hot glue guns plugged into.
Also see how it can also be used as a dining table which would be perfect if a person building a house decided they didn't want a formal dining room that only got used a few times a year so they turned it into an office BUT, on those occasions when it needed to be used for dining, it could!
I never thought I'd get it, especially since I'm expecting most of our rooms in our house to be empty for a while after we build, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. Friday, I decided to look it up online so I could show Jason and start pleading my case way early. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find it anywhere on the PB website. I called the store to get the exact name of the table (Ryland Project Table) and was told it had been discontinued (of course), they then did a further search and found that they pretty much had the only one left in the company on their floor (they could have been stretching the truth but I choose to believe this is the VERY LAST Ryland Project Table on the face of the earth). They said it was on sale since it was discontinued and since it was a floor model they'd take an additional 30% off. I showed Jason afterwork and he actually liked it! I couldn't believe it! We went today (although I thought we should have gone as soon as he got home from work yesterday) - it was still there (whew!) - and we got it! It's exactly what I wanted in the office - I'll have a desk built in along the wall so this will be in the middle of the room for lots and lots of projects. I'm so excited, I had to blog about it! I'm using it now!
